2020-2021 College Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]

Addendum to the 2020-21 Catalog

The addendum contains corrections and changes made to the original published catalog and information on new programs.

The CWST0-Wood Science Technology program will reflect the following updates starting Winter 2021:

  • Total credit hours changed from 30 to 31 based on course changes.
  • Total tution hours are changing from 40 to 39. 
  • WST-10100 Wood Science (2 credits) has been suspended and replaced with WST-10101 Wood Science: Anatomy & Properties (4 credits).
  • WST-10300 Lumber Manufacturing and Grading has a title change to Lumber Grading and description change.
  • WST-10600 Machine Woodworking Lab I (4 credits) has been suspended and replaced with WST-10601 Machine Woodworking Lab I (3 credits). 
  • EDT-11000 (CADD) has been added as an elective so students can take that or WST-15100. 
  • WST-12500 Overlay and Laminate Materials Lab has a title change to Engineered Wood Products, in addition to a course description change.
  • WST-13100 Wood Glue and Finishing Lab has been suspended and replaced with WST-13200 Furniture Manufacuring.

The DITG0 - IT Generalist degree will be available starting Winter 2021. The updated program is available to view at this link: Information Technology (IT), AAS  

 

The following changes have affected the CMBC0-Medical Billing and Coding and DMED1-Medical Assistant programs: 

  • ALH-20000 has been updated from 5 contacts to 3 contacts. 
  • ALH-23301 has been updated from 6 contacts to 4 contacts.
  • The total contact hours for the CMBC0-Medical Billing and Coding program has changed from 40 to 38.
  • The total contact hours for the DMED1-Medical Assistant program has changed from 70.5 to 66.5.

HIS-20400 The American Civil War - Prequisite change.  This course previously had a prerequisite or corequisite of ENG-10303 and has been changed to a prerequisite only of ENG-099PR, or requisite test scores.

 

The following courses have changed and will impact the Residential and Commercial Electrical Technology, AAS  and Residential and Commercial Electrical Technology, CC  programs. 

  • ELT-21300 has changed from 3 credits to 1 credit. Contacts have changed from 4 tuition hours to 1 tution hour. 
  • ELT-21700 has changed from 3 credits to 1 credit. Contacts have changed from 4 tuition hours to 1 tution hour. 
  • A new course of ELT 20419   Michigan Laws and Rules will be implemented starting Winter 2021. 
  • Overall contact hours for CELC3 has changed from 46.3 to 44.3. Classroom hours have changed from 740.8 to approximately 708.8. This may vary depending on what classes students take for electives. 
  • Overall contact hours for DELC3 has changed from 78.8 to 76.8. Classroom hours have changed from 1260.8 to approximately 1228.8. This may vary depending on what classes students take for electives. 
  • Course substitutions will be used for students to make up credit hours during this transition.
