WLD 20410 Material Science

The student will learn the various safety rules of the Material Science Lab, the operation of the mechanical equipment, the steel-making process, failure and deformation of metal, material properties, set-up, operation, and shutting down the wet saw cutting equipment, cutting and mounting specimens, heating and quenching materials, and performing tensile tests and calculations. This course has been renumbered from WLD-10401. Prerequisite or co-requisite: WLD 11000.
