ENG 25112 Science Fiction and Fantasy (3 cr.) Lecture-Lab: 3-0 Offered: S of even-numbered years This course is a study of Science Fiction and Fantasy literatures. It will investigate the progression of the genre with a look at Greek Myth, modern science fiction and fantasy novels and films. The focus will be on the quest and development of heroes in fantasy. The focus will also be on the future as the effects of science and technology on society are explored and developed in literature. Prerequisite: Satisfactory (C or better) in ENG 10303 or ENG 10305 or permission of instructor. Note: Offered in summer of even-numbered years. (Humanities credit-Literature)
