MTH 12300 Technical Mathematics

This course is to prepare students to think mathematically in a variety of technical fields. It includes the study of various applications of fractions, decimals, linear equations, geometry (area, volume, arc length, triangles), statistics and probability. Emphasis is placed on the application of the above topics in Construction and Industrial Technologies. A graphing calculator is required. Prerequisite:  Two semesters of high school Algebra I (“B” or better) or Algebra II (“C” or better), SAT/ACT scores, or MTH 07300 if taken previously.
