WLD 20410 Material Science

The student will learn the various safety rules of the Material Science Lab, the operation of the mechanical equipment, the steel-making process, failure and deformation of metal, material properties, set-up, operation, and shutting down the wet saw cutting equipment, cutting and mounting specimens, heating and quenching materials, and performing tensile tests and calculations. This course has been renumbered from WLD 10401. Prerequisite or corequisite: WLD 11000.
