CIS 10800 Introduction to Python Coding (3 cr.) Lecture-Lab: 3-0 Offered: F,W Python is an object-oriented programming language that is simplistic yet has great capabilities. This class will focus on instructing students to harness the full power of Python to write exceptionally robust, efficient, maintainable, and well-performing code. This course introduces computer programming using the Python programming language. Emphasis is placed on common algorithms and programming principles utilizing the standard library distributed with Python. Upon completion, students should be able to design, code, test, and debug Python language programs. Prerequisite or corequisite: MTH 12002 or MTH 20601 or placement into MTH 12000 or higher.
