ELT 21800 Low Voltage Systems

This course introduces students to voice, data, video, HVAC controls, and fire alarm systems, with a focus on National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) requirements for Class 1, 2, and 3 power-limiting circuits, Class 4 fault-managed power systems, fire alarm systems, and general communication systems. Students will gain hands-on experience wiring both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, terminating coaxial cable, and making shielded and unshielded Cat 6 connections.
