Phlebotomy Course

Kirtland Community College offers a phlebotomy course in the winter semester to prepare students to take the AMT certification examinations. The course is offered at the Roscommon campus. Students must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Training is a 15-week hybrid course consisting of online course work, on-campus labs, and clinical experience and certification preparations.

Notes:
- Conviction for some criminal offenses may render a candidate ineligible for taking the course and/or the certification examination. A criminal background check is required. Information regarding this and required documentation is available on the Phlebotomy website.
- Drug testing of all students will be required prior to the clinical component of the course.
- Students are required to complete the course with a grade of “C” or better.
- A student must be at least 18 years of age by the beginning of the semester.
- There are abilities (with or without accommodation) that a student in this program must have. A list of these abilities can be obtained from the Phlebotomy website.
