The Cybersecurity program will prepare students to enter into the broad field of hardware and operating system security and troubleshooting; manage secure mobile, wired and wireless devices; managing client and server systems; networking security and operation security in the cyberspace. The program is designed as a tiered approach, building the foundation of knowledge for an entry level position in cybersecurity, computer networking, and information technology support. The program provides the opportunity for students to be best prepared to independently obtain the industry-wide and Department of Defense recognized vendor-neutral Comp TIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications. In addition, the program provides the opportunity to explore other aspects of cybersecurity to include computer programming, security software design, and network defense and counter measures. The requirement is a minimum of 60 credit hours.
