The Medical Billing and Coding program provides the career education necessary to be proficient in completing insurance claims. Students learn billing and collection techniques and become proficient in assigning procedural and diagnostic codes.

  • BIO-23500 and BIO-23600 OR BIO-25000 and BIO-25100 may be substituted for BIO-10700 if previously completed
  • Prerequisite for Practicum: Completion of all courses required for the program except ALH/HIT 23301, consent of advisor, and a program GPA of 2.3 or better.
  • In order to graduate, students must have a program GPA of 2.3 or better.
  • All ALH/HIT courses require a minimum grade of C+ (2.3) to progress in the program.
