BIO 11700 Biology I for STEM Majors

Emphasizes molecular biology, cell chemistry, cell structure & function, cell division, and genetics.  For Biology majors and minors, or students planning to transfer to pre-professional programs requiring Biology.  Includes a three-hour laboratory experience per week.  Prerequisite: ENG 10305  or placement into ENG 10303 ; and MTH 12002  or MTH 20601  or placement into MTH 12000  or higher; BIO 10100  or one year of high school biology with a “C” or better grade minimum.
