ENG 22800 Mythology

A cross-cultural and historical survey of the world’s myths, the class will also consider such questions as the meaning of myth, the purposes and functions of myth, theories of how myths originate, and ways that myths have been analyzed and interpreted. Prerequisite: Satisfactory (C or better) completion of ENG 10303  or permission of instructor. Note: Offered in Fall of odd-numbered years. (Humanities Credit - Literature)
