NUR 22215 Advanced Medical/Surgical Nursing I(8 cr.) Lecture-Lab: (4-14) (F,W) This course is designed to introduce and develop medical/surgical concepts within the three domains of professionalism, patient-centered care and health. Emphasis is placed on concepts identified in the syllabus. The student will apply evidence-based practice in problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking for patient needs with a focus on introductory disease process. Clinical and simulation experiences are required in this course. Upon completion, students will provide safe nursing care incorporating the concepts identified in the course. Prerequisite: Admission to the Nursing Program.
